City walks with an experienced guide
Nice to meet you!
My name is Angelique Hendrikx.
Born in Amsterdam but living in Zwaag since 1997. I live there together with my husband and our son and daughter.
Art and culture have my interest from an early age. That is why in 2001, when the opportunity arose, I decided to follow my passion.
I have done various courses, including Culture and Art History at the LOI, Art History at the Vrije Academie voor Kunsthistorisch Onderwijs, Cultural Science at the Open University, The Form and Function of Manuscripts at Stanford University, the course for National Guide and I have graduated Art History at the University of Amsterdam.
I also passed the boat exam (Canal Cruise in Amsterdam) and the foreign language exam (English) at Guides'organization Guidor.
I am a volunteer at Vereniging Oud Hoorn where I accompany walks as a city guide. I am also a member of the study group Hoorn, Houses, Streets, People.
This study group conducts research into histories of houses and streets in the city centre of Hoorn.
Apart from city walks in my hometown Hoorn, I also organize city walks in Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Enkhuizen, Haarlem, Volendam and Edam.
Excursions to the Zaanse Schans, The Rijksmuseum or The van Gogh museum are also possible.
I also do themed walks such as an Anne Frank walk, a Rembrandt walk or a walk through Jewish Amsterdam.
Are you not so fond of walking but prefer to get on a bike? No problem. I know enough nice routes in beautiful West Friesland!
Looking for the perfect guided city walk in Hoorn, Amsterdam, Enkhuizen, Alkmaar, Zaanse Schans, Haarlem, Volendam or Edam?
Don't hesitate to contact me.
