My name is Angelique Hendrikx.
Born in Amsterdam but living in Zwaag since 1997. I live there together with my husband and our son and daughter.
I have always had an interest in history. In the exciting but also the everyday stories. I like to share these stories with my guests.
Through these stories the history of a particular town can really come to live.
Art is my other passion. I believe that through art objects you can learn a lot from history.
I got my bachelor’s degree in art history at the University of Amsterdam in 2014.
I started to work as a tour guide after I graduated. Besides my work, I started a course in guiding, and received my diploma in 2016.
I love my job as a tour guide and I’m always really enthusiastic to be able to let people get to know cities and their hidden stories.
Various possibilities
Apart from city walks in my hometown Hoorn, I also organize city walks in Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Enkhuizen, Volendam and Edam.
Excursions to the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum are also possible. I also do themed walks such as an Anne Frank walk, a Rembrandt walk, a Diamond walk
or a walk through Jewish Amsterdam.
Are you not so fond of walking but prefer to get on a bike? No problem. I know enough nice routes in beautiful West Friesland!
